As your doula, I will assist in evidence based birth education, making certain that you receive the information you need in order to make informed decisions.

I can also help with preparing your birth plan, should you choose to write one.

 

Having a doula present at birth has proven to result in shorter labors, as well as reduced need for pain medication and medical interventions.

This is accomplished all while helping the parents to feel secure and cared for.

I do not replace your birth partner, rather my hope is to reinforce them, making them feel more confident and relaxed. Since I'm trained and familiar with childbirth, I can simply and clearly explain what to expect during this time.
