Born With Margo

Hi!  My name is Margo Born.  I live in the Piedmont Triad area of NC with my 3 children.  And, yes, that IS actually the last name I was given at birth, and no it is NOT possible to get a decent family photo.

 

In 2011, shortly after my third child was born, I decided to become a birth doula.

The conversation went something like this...

ME: there was this one nurse who held her hands on my back and reminded me to breathe.  I wish I could be a nurse who does that, and none of the "medical stuff"...

BFF: uh, you don't have to be a nurse.  You could be a doula!

ME: a do-what?!

and the rest is history!!

Soon after, I was trained and certified through DONA International.  Then, in 2016, I added postpartum support to my services.  I often travel with clients and care for their babies in cars, airplanes, and hotels.

I am also a childbirth educator.  I teach classes to groups and I offer private education in your home or virtually.  

Additionally, I am a certified placenta specialist and I offer encapsulation & tinctures.
